Counting Down Pokemon Favorites : GENERATION 3

Continuing the Pokemon countdown of my favorites from each generation! 

So, I've selection three Pokemon from each; one winner, and two runner-ups. 

This is taking into account my feelings of the Pokemon's design, stats, and my personal experience with them in battle.

I won't include legendaries in the generations; just normal Pokemon.

Runners-Up

SKITTY
the Kitten Pokemon

Generation III Ruby Skitty has the habit of becoming fascinated by moving objects and chasing them around. This Pokémon is known to chase after its own tail and become dizzy. Sapphire Skitty is known to chase around playfully after its own tail. In the wild, this Pokémon lives in holes in the trees of forests. It is very popular as a pet because of its adorable looks. Emerald A Skitty's adorably cute behavior makes it highly popular. In battle, it makes its tail puff out. It threatens foes with a sharp growl. FireRed It is said to be difficult to earn its trust. However, it is extremely popular for its cute looks and behavior. LeafGreen

Generation IV Diamond It can't stop itself from chasing moving things, and it runs in a circle, chasing its own tail. Pearl Platinum HeartGold It's adorable when it chases its own tail. It's difficult to earn its trust. SoulSilver

Generation V Black It can't stop itself from chasing moving things, and it runs in a circle, chasing its own tail. White Black 2 It shows its cute side by chasing its own tail until it gets dizzy. White 2

Generation VI X It can't stop itself from chasing moving things, and it runs in a circle, chasing its own tail. Y It shows its cute side by chasing its own tail until it gets dizzy.

What can I say about Skitty? -well for starters, it is adorable and pink and a cat :P
Second, it is a badass motherfucker when it comes to Little Cup rules. Little Cup is essentially 'baby Pokemon battling' where you are restricted to Egg Moves and TM Moves and the level cap is 5. Skitty is one of those Pokemon that is versatile and brutal if used correctly, especially with the right ability. My Pokemon buddies tease me for loving Skitty's design so much (if you haven't noticed by now, I tend to choose Pokemon for aesthetic reasons over battling abilities) but once Little Cup metagame became a thing, those buddies of mine aren't laughing any more. I guarantee that they all have a Skitty on their Little Cup team. Mine's name is Skullfuck for sarcastic and hilarious reasons.

LUDICOLO
the Carefree Pokemon

Generation III Ruby Ludicolo begins dancing as soon as it hears cheerful, festive music. This Pokémon is said to appear when it hears the singing of children on hiking outings. Sapphire Upon hearing an upbeat and cheerful rhythm, the cells in Ludicolo's body become very energetic and active. Even in battle, this Pokémon will exhibit an amazing amount of power. Emerald When it hears festive music, all the cells in its body become stimulated, and it begins moving in rhythm. It does not quail even when it faces a tough opponent. FireRed The rhythm of bright, festive music activates Ludicolo's cells, making it more powerful. LeafGreen

Generation IV Diamond If it hears festive music, all its muscles fill with energy. It can't help breaking out into a dance. Pearl Platinum HeartGold If it hears festive music, it begins moving in rhythm in order to amplify its power. SoulSilver

Generation V Black If it hears festive music, all its muscles fill with energy. It can't help breaking out into a dance. White Black 2 If it hears festive music, all its muscles fill with energy. It can't help breaking out into a dance. White 2

Generation VI X If it hears festive music, all its muscles fill with energy. It can't help breaking out into a dance. Y The rhythm of bright, festive music activates Ludicolo's cells, making it more powerful.

Who doesn't want to party with THE party Pokemon? Seriously, when Pokemon posted on their Facebook page what Pokemon you wanted to spend your spring break with... with a picture of Ludicolo to boot... who do you think the population chose? It loves tropical regions and bright festive music... and probably makes a mean cocktail. I didn't begin to appreciate Ludicolo until I started competitive battling and added one to my team. It's a fun weather shutdown that Fire types get mad at ;)

SHARPEDO
the Brutal Pokemon

Generation III Ruby Nicknamed "the bully of the sea," Sharpedo is widely feared. Its cruel fangs grow back immediately if they snap off. Just one of these Pokémon can thoroughly tear apart asupertanker. Sapphire Sharpedo can swim at speeds of up to 75 mph by jetting seawater out of its backside. This Pokémon's drawback is its inability to swim long distances. Emerald The vicious and sly gangster of the sea. Its skin is specially textured to minimize drag in water. Its speed tops out at over 75 mph per hour. FireRed The ruffian of the seas, it has fangs that crunch through iron. It swims by jetting water from its rear. LeafGreen

Generation IV Diamond Its fangs rip through sheet iron. It swims at 75 mph and is known as "The Bully of the Sea." Pearl Platinum HeartGold It can swim at speeds of 75 mph by jetting seawater through its body. It is the bandit of the sea. SoulSilver

Generation V Black Its fangs rip through sheet iron. It swims at 75 mph and is known as "The Bully of the Sea." White Black 2 Its fangs rip through sheet iron. It swims at 75 mph and is known as "The Bully of the Sea." White 2

Generation VI X Its fangs rip through sheet iron. It swims at 75 mph and is known as "The Bully of the Sea." Y It can swim at speeds of 75 mph by jetting seawater through its body. It is the bandit of the sea.

Speed Boost, Rough Skin, Aqua Jet, and more? Sharpedo is a serious threat in ANY battle. Plus, it's Pokedex entries make it sound like the most terrifying thing in the Pokeverse oceans. Sharpedo is one of the few 'tough looking' Pokemon that I really really like aesthetically. Now to mention it is the mascot for Team Aqua, whom besides Team Rocket, is my favorite bunch of enemies (sorry Groudon)
