For those of you unfamiliar, 'tanka' is a form of poetry. Like a haiku, the lines don't have to rhyme but must have a set number of syllables : 5/7/5/7/7
i just can't explain
how the soft feel of black fur
and purr in my ear
and the rough tongue that licks me
carries all the sad away.
